The Tavs Choir
The TAVS Choir has a heart to bring people from different backgrounds together through song. It is open to everyone and anyone. So we would love to have you join us. Weekly Monday evening performances average from 10 – 15 people and we hope to continue to grow. There is a growing sense of community amongst us, and there is always such joy and fun to be had.
Some of our songs at the moment include: Something Inside So Strong, Amazing grace, I’m A Believer, It’s My Life (Bon Jovi), Bad Moon Rising and Bread Of Heaven
The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measure of flour, it permeated every part of the dough. Mathew 13: 3
We are currently meeting to bake bread on the first Saturday of every month. We would love to see the small investment during time spent getting alongside and baking bread permeate into wide aspects of the lives of those involved from the TAVS community. An environment that will influence change and difference in individuals lives, alongside the obvious benefits of taking part in bread baking.
Through this we hope to build community, self-worth, achievement and skill. This is not a service but a doing together and a space that allows for more.
We started in December 2013 and we look forward with anticipation to growing and moving forward with this this project.
An exciting new aspect of the TAVS Bakery is that we are currently looking into offering our baked bread to Church and faith groups for communion.
In September 2014 we are looking to open our Women’s Space again on a Monday afternoon. We hope it to be a relaxed, informal, creative space where women can come and feel safe and be themselves.
Czech-Roma Youth Club
The Ministry Of Life Project runs a Czech-Roma youth club out of Tavs every week
Wings meet in the upper room at TAVS on the first Wednesday of every month. Members of the TAVS community are welcome be part of, it is a space they shall be spiritually invested in, a place they can ask questions, explore the bible and faith. Also a space they can go to that will offer life direction and support.
The heart is for Wings to be the ‘spiritual motor’ behind all that we do at TAVS. Through Wings we have regular prayer gatherings and events for the works at TAVS. You would be welcome to come and be part of any upcoming prayer events.
